While staying true to Highlander style, Toyota has successfully updated the 2017 models. Look for roof rails, a new dramatic grille, and dark tinted head lights. This mid-sized SUV will now be available in three new exterior colors - Celestial Silver Metallic, Toasted Pearl, and in the SE trim Salsa Red. Each Toyota Highlander grade will receive a slightly different grille finish style. The entry level trims will have a silver finish while the Limited and Platinum trims will sport a painted chrome finish.
Inside the cabin of the 2017 Toyota Highlander, passengers will find no less than 5 USB ports. In the upper level trims they will also enjoy leather seating. These upper level trims will also give the purchaser a choice between a second row with two captains chairs or a bench seat. The buyer can customize the seating configuration to their needs.
If you are looking for a sportier style you will be pleased to hear that the 2017 Toyota Highlander will be available in an SE trim. This trim level features black leather seats with silver stitching. The exterior is also sportier with a dark matte paint treatment on the roof rails and front grille.
While specifics have as yet to be spelled out, Toyota has promised a more powerful and more efficient engine in the 2017 Toyota Highlander. The engine will be direct-injected and have a high gear count automatic transmission. Likely, the Highlander's base model engine will be a 2.7L 4-cylinder.
